Salar Surgical Instruments works with established manufacturing partners rather than claiming to forge instruments ourselves. Each partner is selected on the consistency of their output — forming, heat treatment, grinding and finishing — because those steps determine how an instrument cuts, grips and articulates in the hand.
Specifications are agreed before production so repeat orders match the instruments already in your sets.
Instrument inspection
Instruments are checked for the attributes that matter in daily clinical use: cutting edge condition, tip alignment, box-lock and joint movement, ratchet engagement, serration definition and surface finish. Anything that does not meet the agreed specification is not supplied.

Material quality focus
The range is manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel selected for corrosion resistance, edge retention and dimensional stability through repeated sterilisation. Material grade and finish are specified per instrument family rather than assumed across the range.
Cleaning and reprocessing awareness
Reusable instruments only perform as intended when they are cleaned, inspected and sterilised correctly. We supply instruments designed for standard Australian reprocessing workflows and encourage practices to follow their own validated cleaning, autoclaving and inspection procedures, retiring instruments once edges or joints fall below clinical standard.
